Phenomenology of Place & The Lifeworld

David Seamon studies the part of place that resists the itinerary entirely: the unremarkable, repeated, bodily routine of ordinary life in one location.

Focuses on the ‘place-ballet’ — the daily routines, body movements, and unconscious habits that give a neighbourhood its unique rhythm. By slowing down and observing these everyday rituals, travellers shift from passive tourists to attentive witnesses of local life.
